Exploring Florals Through Sewn Abstract Art
There’s something magical about stepping into new creative territory—following curiosity, allowing intuition to lead, and watching something fresh take shape. This latest series of sewn abstract floral art is unlike anything I’ve created before, yet it feels like a natural evolution of my process.
I’ve always been drawn to organic movement, layering textures, and creating depth through stitching. With these pieces, I wanted to explore the form of flowers—capturing their soft edges, unfolding petals, and the feeling of growth and transformation. Instead of painting florals traditionally, I tore each petal from hand-painted papers, arranging them into compositions that felt alive before stitching them into place. The result is a collection of works that blend structure and fluidity, delicacy and strength.
Creating these felt both invigorating and grounding. There’s something about the way flowers grow—persisting through seasons, reaching for light—that mirrors the artistic process itself. Each of these three pieces tells its own quiet story, and I hope they speak to you in a way that resonates.
Thank you for being part of this journey with me. I’m so excited to share this new direction, and I can’t wait to see where it leads next.
