Mini Collection of Affirmations

Last month I found myself diving deep into the creation of a series of mini works of art. These 15 pieces were an exploration of color, texture, and self-expression, and I poured so much of myself into them. Each small work holds its own energy and personality, which is why it has been such a joy to see most of them find new homes. A few are still available and I’d love for you to experience them.

As I finished the collection, I hit a creative wall when it came to naming each piece. After putting so much energy into the art itself, I was struggling to find the right titles. Then something happened with my daughter that brought everything into focus. We were working through a challenging moment together, and I found myself repeating something we often say: "We can do hard things."

That phrase, one I’ve said to encourage her and myself countless times, struck me in a new way. It became the inspiration not only for one of the pieces, but for how I titled the entire collection. I realized I wanted each piece to serve as a word of affirmation—a way to affirm myself and perhaps offer the same encouragement to someone else.

In a world where it's so easy to compare ourselves to others, I wanted to focus on positive reinforcement. These titles became reminders of the traits I see in myself and a way to empower my thoughts. And knowing that someone might connect with these affirmations in their own life made the process even more meaningful. Here are a few titles from the collection that reflect this idea:

  • I am colorful: A reminder to embrace the vibrancy of life and to let our unique colors shine.
  • I am kind: A simple yet powerful affirmation of compassion—for others and for ourselves.
  • I can do hard things: An acknowledgment of the inner strength we sometimes forget we possess.
  • I am calm: A whisper of peace in the midst of the chaos that life can bring.
  • I am passionate: A celebration of the fire that fuels us and keeps us creating.
  • I am confident: A firm reminder to trust in ourselves, in our process, and in our journey.

It’s been a beautiful process—thinking about my work in this way and realizing that the words we use matter. Whether it’s an affirmation for me or for the person who connects with it, these titles carry a message of positivity.

I hope these works of art and the affirmations they carry can inspire and uplift you as much as they have for me.
