Connected

This original trio from my Continuum collection explores extension, connection, and the quiet beauty of movement beyond boundaries.

Each artwork began as a layered paper landscape, then evolved as the stitching intentionally extended past the artwork and onto the mat. This continuation of thread beyond the paper reflects the heart of this series, pushing past restraint, softening edges, and allowing the work to breathe outside its original frame.

While each piece stands beautifully on its own, they were intentionally created as a set to speak to one another. Together they suggest connection across distance, seasons, and time. Subtle variations in tone and texture create harmony while still allowing each landscape its own quiet voice.

Soft neutral hues, layered papers, including gold leaf, and stitching create depth and dimension that shifts gently with light. The result is a calming, tactile piece that invites slow looking.
